Infatigable acrobate
How often encountered along our hike, they are both discreet in their movements and oddly loud when they feel safe in treetops. In the autumn period of abundance of nuts and seeds, squirrels put aside their foods in multiple caches in anticipation of winter. This is a good time to observe them, as they are constantly moving and very curious of any approach. Their comical expressions seduced me to the point of capture on canvas.
The Player of the Forests made gouache on Canson board.
